We are very pleased to announce that the Manhattan-Elwood Public Library District has joined OMNI (Online Media of Northern Illinois) Libraries - a group of area libraries offering downloadable books to their patrons. This service is available to those having valid Manhattan-Elwood Public Library District library cards. Click on the OMNI LIBRARIES link is on the left side of the home page to download books. Library Board Meeting: The next regular Library Board Meeting will be on Monday, July 26th at 4:30pm. The Board meets on the fourth Monday of the month. They generally do not meet in December.

Illinois Department of Employment Security
The Illinois Department of Employment Security is now offering Internet certifications for the unemployed to certify bi-weekly for their benefits. Previously, claimants only had the option of using the telephone to certify for benefits.
